Shongwe Lookout is a new-build, 23-room lodge in the suburbs of Victoria Falls, about a kilometre from town and two from the Falls. Its signature is a four-storey lookout tower with a two-platform deck that clears the treeline for views of the Zambezi and the rising spray of the Falls.
Rooms are aimed at the discerning guest — king beds, air conditioning, fans inside mosquito nets, verandah seating. There is an outdoor infinity pool, the Mvula boutique spa, a restaurant, a bar, an art gallery and a boma. It is owner-operated, and it shows in the service.
